Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) poses a significant challenge due to its molecular heterogeneity. In this study, we combined our findings into the intricate gene expression profiles within NSCLC, forming the power of two cutting-edge techniques: spatial transcriptomics (ST) and bulk RNA-Seq. By integrating these approaches, we gained unprecedented insights into the tumor microenvironment, paving the way for personalized therapeutic strategies.

  • The results of integrating ST and bulk RNA-Seq as a basis of understanding gene expression profiles in NSCLC. ST allows measurement of gene expression in specific tissue regions, complementing bulk RNA-Seq data.
  • While both datasets show good overall agreement, bulk RNA-Seq captures a wider spectrum of genes, providing an overview of co-expressed and pathway-relevant differentially expressed genes.
  • How the combined approach refines target expression by cell type (e.g., primary tumor or immune system) and identifies gene expression variability within patients’ tumors.
